How to learn and memorize faster is a challenge to the modern age student!

"Learning sometimes can be boring as you need to repeat it again and again."

Research says that mind gets bored and sometimes drops the weapons to fight further against its enemy called academic memorization.  It happens because memorization is carried out by the stereo type process of repeating the reading process till the text engulfs your conscious memory.
We try to spew all the conscious stuff on the paper, viva or presentations, which sometimes prove painful if your link to the recall loses its signal.
Easy and interesting things get the entry easily in your memory. Games, jokes, pranks and movies are remembered easily due to their visual impact. To memorize the things I suggest the formula - "MVWCCTS".

1)      MAPPING & VISUALIZING is one of the best technique suggested by memory experts and even psychometric theories. Connect/ make up  a story in your mind about the content that you are reading. Virtual visualization is the one of the best memorization technique. Create a catchy slogan to remember like MVery Educated Mother Just Showed UNeptune. The first letters of the words suggest the name of planets in order -Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Isn't it interesting?

2)      WRITE the content that you have read. Of course not the whole content, but the main punch points which you feel you can elaborate in your own words. Your hand always follows reflex action and it is a part of your sub conscious mind so it will act faster than your memory when you have to put it in action in exams.

3)      READ what you have written and compare with the original content. Read it loudly so that your mind understands what you have written. Comparison is one of the ways to train your mind that what actual facts are what you were interpreting.

4)      CORRECT your mistakes with colorful pens and write it in bold on the page margin or on the side. This activity will suggest your mind that these are your mistakes and have not to be repeated during the final performance.

5)      TEACH whatever you have learnt. Try to get some pair of ears for your verbal delivery. The person can be your parent, sibling, friend or mirror. I read an example given by a trainer where he mentioned that if you want to pour some water in a glass full of water you need to transfer it into another and to make some space for the entry. So if you try to teach someone, they will come up with some questions which you may or may not know. You will come up with the answers which in return will feed your mind with extra knowledge.

6)      SHARE your content and try to help your fellow colleagues or students with what you have learnt. It is possible that they will come up with some alternate  new facts or may help you improve your content, which in return will enhance your memorization.

Friends please come up with alternative ideas if you have to share and help the learners. Your suggestions and constructive comments are appreciable.
